The Prime Minister is the head of the government of Morocco but the Prime Minister is appointed by the King of Morocco as the Monarch is the head of the state.
After King Mohammed V's death, his son Hassan II of Morocco became King and he continued his absolute rule until 13 November 1963 when he recreated the position of Prime Minister.
From 7 June 1965 until 7 July 1967, Hassan II ruled as absolute monarch.
